Fleet and instrumentation
Every figure that is confirmed is published. Every figure that is not is marked TK rather than estimated.
Cryogenic nitrogen pumper unit
One unit covers the rate range and the pressure range, and still fits down a lease road.
| Rate range | 48,000 to 720,000 SCFH |
|---|---|
| Maximum pressure | 8,900 psi |
| Maximum temperature | 350 °F |
| Liquid capacity | 3,300 gallons |
| Overall length | 38 ft |
|---|---|
| Overall width | 8 ft 2 in |
| Overall height | 12 ft 5 in |
| Weight, empty | TK lb |
| Weight, full | TK lb |
Weights are withheld pending client confirmation. The figures on the previous site were transposed.
Nitrogen tube trailers
Sized to the job rather than to one trailer, and rented by the week or the month.
| Volume range | 21,000 to 81,000 ft³ |
|---|---|
| Rental terms | Weekly or monthly |
| Hose | 150 ft, NPT connection |
|---|---|
| Regulator | N₂ regulator included |
| Certification | DOT certified |
Instrumentation
The instruments that make the record
Two of these run on every test at the same time. All of them are recertified every 6 months.
Barton 12 inch dual pin chart recorder
Two pens on one 12 inch chart, pressure and temperature on the same time base. The chart is a physical artifact that leaves site with the job file.
| Chart diameter | 12 in |
|---|---|
| Pens | Dual pin |
| Record type | Analog, circular chart |
| Recertification | Every 6 months |
Crystal nVision digital data logger
Runs on the same test as the Barton, on its own power and its own clock. Exports a timestamped log for the integrity file.
| Record type | Digital, timestamped log |
|---|---|
| Output | Exportable data file |
| Independence | Separate power and clock |
| Recertification | Every 6 months |
Analog deadweight tester
Kept because certain standards still call for a deadweight reference and will not accept a digital substitute.
| Type | Analog deadweight |
|---|---|
| Use | Reference calibration |
| Recertification | Every 6 months |
DeFelsko dew point meter
Reads to minus 100°F. The number it returns is what turns a dry line from a claim into a record.
| Range | Reads to −100 °F |
|---|---|
| Measures | Dew point, relative humidity, surface and air temperature |
| Output | Logged reading for the job file |
| Recertification | Every 6 months |
Badger flow meter
Meters volume pumped so fill and displacement volumes reconcile against the calculated line volume.
| Measures | Pumped volume |
|---|---|
| Use | Fill and displacement reconciliation |
| Recertification | Every 6 months |
Pigs and launching
| Foam and poly pigs | Cleaning, drying, and product displacement |
|---|---|
| Gauge pigs | Proving bore and confirming the line is clear for inspection |
| Brush pigs | Scale, mill scale, and weld slag removal |
| Smart and MFL pigs | In line inspection runs |
Compressor supplied with the run. For lines with no launcher or receiver, a bell piece is fabricated to fit over the opening and act as a launcher.
